Our next DukeGEN Bay Area event will start with a happy hour and informal networking event at the wine bar Vino Locale in Palo Alto.
At 8 PM, a group of DukeGEN members who register here will join Mike Pisetsky B'08, L'08 of Cooley Godward for dinner and a discussion about early stage financings at Vero Ristorante.
The discussion portion of the event will cover key business and legal issues to consider in (i) founding a technology-based or high-growth start-up company, (ii) seeking early-stage or seed financing from various sources and (iii) negotiating the first term sheet from institutional investors. Mike has helped to form and negotiate the financing of dozens of early stage start-ups in a variety of industries and has represented many of the most prominent Bay Area venture capital firms in their investment activities.
The dinner portion of the event will be limited to the first 12 DukeGEN members that reserve a ticket via this page.
NOTE: Participants will be responsible for paying their own dinner and drink costs. The $10 ticket price will be applied to the dinner bill (minus Eventbrite fees - so $8.50 per person will be applied to the bill).
Vero Ristorante is at 530 Bryant St., four blocks away from Vino Locale. Both are walking distance from the Palo Alto Caltrain station.
